Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news site and a television host, author, and charitable donor. When she moved into England from Greece at 16, she received a MA with Economics from Cambridge University. First foreign-born graduate to be elected president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the presidency. After graduation she made her name as an editorialist for the conservative syndicate and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed a voice-based website that provided critical views about the current political climate. It was possible for her to recruit numerous prominent contributors to post their views about politics and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 when she decided to stand for a non-partisan position for the California recall election to replace the Governor Davis. Alongside this she was the leader of the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes identified her as the most influential female in the media industry in the year 2009. Her ranking was in the 12th spot on Forbes' ranking. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media outlets in the year 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division, which also included the other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli the other, both of whom are journalists and consultants in management. Her character was formed by the closeness she had to her mother, and the bond she shared with her dad, despite her being very close to the latter. Even during her formative years, she exhibited leadership skills for which are still prominently known. When she was 16 she relocated back to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years, where she was the first woman to hold the position of president. In 1972 she graduated with the degree of master's in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a critic for a newspaper column and an anchor on TV. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own novels with his assistance.
