April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States She is one of a small number of women who had medals won in more than one Olympics. Ross is scheduled to compete in Tokyo in her third Olympics medal along with Alix Klineman, who is a first time Olympian. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic gold medal. This could be the final opportunity for her at age 39. However, she remains optimistic that the most important medals are in reach. If we perform at our very best or even really well, I believe we'll win the gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. And then I'll also have some luck. Ross, who was born 1982, and grew up within Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started competing in sports in Newport Harbor High School. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. She competed in basketball and track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. She was definitely a one of a kind in her other sport. In her high school volleyball career, according to her college profile, she played the roles of middle blocker, an outside settingter, and hitter. The results of her efforts were acknowledged by her being named 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. She also won her the Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in 2000. Ross and Klineman started their collaboration in the year 2017, however, Ross was a renowned participant on the beach for quite a while before. It's true that she has been an active player on the scene of beaches over the years. In fact, Ross took home several titles, and even one that was won by a famous volleyball player. From 2007-2013 she played along with Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Alongside Kessy Ross was an active participant on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. The duo eventually captured an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor were the winners, ahead of them. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's exit. The two went on win the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. In high school and the years before she hit the sand in her professional career, Ross balled out for the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. Ross's career with the Trojans was outstanding. In 2000 she was selected Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year. In addition, she was she was an All-American. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach the Final Four. In her sophomore season, she went through a heartbreaking personal tragedy, but was able to be named an All-American. The two seasons she spent playing for the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them succeed in winning consecutive championships. Individually she had cemented herself as an all-time legend having won an award in the year 2003-04. Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was a international relations major at USC. Sadly, Ross mother Margie didn't get to watch her daughter reach the top levels in beach volleyball's acclaim. At the time of 2001, while Ross was in her sophomore year studying at USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. However, she continues to cherish her missing parent with love and close. And Margie is an ongoing source of energy for her on the beach as well as in everyday her everyday life.
